1か月前は、地元の人だって訪れたことがなかった静かな里山が
今では駐車場の案内まで出て、平日でも観光客が絶えないという。

数十年前、「天才！志村どうぶつ園」で須坂市動物園のハッチが一躍全国的に有名となり、
年間20万人が須坂市動物園を訪れるという時代があった。
ゲストハウスを始めて、よく耳にしたのが、「ハッチって須坂だったんですねー」とか、
「ハッチに会いに来てたけど、あれが須坂だったんですね！」というゲストの声。
ハッチは人気になったけれど、それが「須坂」とはリンクされていなかったのだ。

今週、連日全国ニュースで坂田山の龍の割石が取り上げられた。
しばらく、須坂の鬼滅ブームが続くでしょう笑

きっかけはどうであれ、せっかく須坂に来ていただけるのであれば、
鬼滅の石だけ写真に納めて、はいさよなら、ではなく、もうちょっと須坂を楽しんでいってほしい。


まずは、

１．坂田山山頂
　
　

　今は坂田山の龍の割石ばかりにスポットが当たっていますが、本当は、坂田山全体を楽しんでほしい。
　山頂まではなかなかハードな道のりで、往復で2.5-3時間くらいのちょうどいい運動の登山です。
　普段運動ゼロで、なかなか重量のあるこの体でも、なんとか山頂にたどり着いたので笑
　きっとだれでも楽しく山頂まで行けます。

２．田中本家博物館

　300年続くお庭が見事です。
　鬼滅のコスプレしていたら、そのままこちらのお庭で、それっぽい写真が撮れるのでは！！
　今の時期、田中本家博物館の「白うり粕漬」が絶品！！
　粕漬が苦手な人にも、ぜひ一度トライしてほしい一品です。

３．臥竜公園

　

　甥っ子と遊ぶ定番の場所。
　動物園あり、ボートあり、真っ黒おでんあり、遊具で遊ぶゾーンあり。

It is a traditional event which local people gathers around a powerfully-burning bonfire to wish for happiness in the new year We also bring our New Year's decoration and "Kakizome", the Calligraphy at the beginning of the year, and burn them.

3rd March is ‘Hina Matsuri’ day in Japan! Families with daughters celebrate by displaying " Hina dolls" on a stepped shelf to express the wish for their daughter's good health and growth. Hina dolls are dressed in gorgeous KIMONO.

From 9th Feb. to 15th Apr., there will be held Hina Matsuri Festival at the Museum in Suzaka!!
More than 1,000 Hina dolls will be exhibited on the 30 steps.

You can stand and take a picture with hina dolls in front of the steps.

【Enjoy Bonssai in Suzaka, Nagano】

We had guests of Bonsai freak from Germany.
They met one famous woman Bonsai Artist, Yamamoto san in Suzaka yesterday. When they came back to guesthouse, they told us how much they love the way of her thinking, the way of her treating Bonsai, the attitude toward Bonsai. They said they got a really good class of Bosai from her.

If you are interested in Bonsai, don't miss to drop in Suzaka!!
There is one another famous Bonsai Artist in Suzaka. His name is Iura san. Of course the guests are heading to meet him this morning.




5年ゲストハウスを続けてきて、
彼らは何番目の盆栽フリークだろうか。
ドイツから来たらはもうかれこれ20年近く盆栽に向き合ってきたという。
予約の時点で、小布施の盆栽美術館に行きたいというので、盆栽に興味があるなら、ぜひ須坂の盆栽アーティストにも会ってほしい！と提案した。
昨日早速山本さんが営む須坂の松山園にお邪魔した。




ゲストハウスに帰ってきた彼らは、いかに山本さんに感動したかを熱く語ってくれた。
山本さんはそれはそれは丁寧に、盆栽の育て方、盆栽との向き合い方、盆栽の心得を彼らに伝えてくれたという。
彼らは、これまで出会ってきた盆栽師とは全く違うアプローチで山本んさんは盆栽を育てていると話してくれた。
ドイツに戻って、山本さんが教えてくれたことを活かして盆栽を育てるのが楽しみだという。
彼女は、「これで、もうボケの育て方がわかったよ！」とうれしそうに話してくれた。

今日はこれから、昨年内閣総理大臣賞を受賞した須坂のもう一人の巨匠、井浦さんのところへ。

盆栽を楽しむ世界中の方々に、
もっと須坂を知ってほしい。

たくさんの方にお越しいただき、今回のベトナムイベントは大成功となりました！
お越しくださった皆さま、本当に、本当に、ありがとうございました！

なにより、準備も大変だっただろう主催側のベトナムの彼らが、終わった後に、

そのうち、どのくらいの外国の方が住んでいるか、須坂の方はご存知ですか。

開業当初から、「最近は須坂にも外国人が増えたねー。よくおっきい荷物持った外国人を見かけるよ。」と言われることが多いです。
ゲストハウス蔵に宿泊してくれているゲストの半分は外国からの旅人たち。
外国人ゲストが町に出て行っても、どこへ行っても、町の方々にとても良くしてもらっていて、須坂の町の印象はすごくいいんです。
本当に感謝しています。


ただ、一方で、短期的にではなく、須坂に住んでいる外国人も多いんです。
現在の市の統計では、456人の外国の方が須坂に住んでいます。
それを須坂の方々に話すと、「え～そんなに須坂に外国人いるかやー」という声をよく耳にします。
もしかしたら、それだけ、日本人コミュニティーと、外国人コミュニティーが分かれてしまっているのかもしれません。

須坂に住んでいる外国人の彼らにとって、須坂はどんな町に見えているのでしょう。

よく蔵に遊びに来てくれる須坂市在住の外国人の友達に、明日はここでお祭りだよ、
今度の週末はここでイベントがあるよ、と言っても、知らなかったりします。
彼らにまで情報が届いていない。
須坂を訪れる外国人観光客だけでなく、須坂に住んでいる外国の人にとっても、住みよい町であってほしい。

外国から来ている彼らと同じ町でどう仲良く暮らしていくか、それはもう、お互いをよく知るしかないと思うんです。
彼ら一人一人と、よく話す。

そのきっかけの場にもなってほしいと、今回のような地元に住んでいる外国の方を招いてその国の紹介と、
その国の料理を楽しむイベントをしてきました。

今回は約半年前から須坂に住み始めたベトナムの彼ら。
お越しいただいた皆さまにとって、少しでも「ベトナム」が身近に感じてもらえていたら、うれしいです。

これは、私の実家のすぐ近くの坂田果樹園さんの
シャインマスカット。

「だれにも負けないぶどうを作るんだ！」って
土からこだわって、丁寧に丁寧に作っているそのブドウは
まるで、宝石のようです。




これまで多くの蔵のゲストが
「ぶどうの概念を覆された」と称してくれています。

今がまさに旬のシャインマスカット。

個人の農家さんなので、大量注文は承れません。

須坂も梅雨入りが発表され、昨晩は雨が降りましたが
本日はすこーし曇ってはいるもののぽかぽかのお散歩日和です。

生まれも育ちも須坂の地元っ子である私ですが、
ここを訪れたのは初めてかもしれない！

ゲストハウス蔵から徒歩2分ほどの、須坂市旧上高井郡役所。
大正時代のバロック様式の建物で、内部はひんやり涼しく、天井の高い休憩スペースは自由に使えます。

ゲストハウス蔵の裏通り、劇場通りにはその名から分かる通りに昔映画館がありました。
ご自宅がその映画館の隣りにあり、幼い頃より映画に関心を持ち映写技師として勤められた小林創さんがコレクションされた映画関係資料が、こちらで常設展示されています。

県内に唯一残る郡役所の建物を見るために、映画資料の展示をみるために、はたまた涼むために、この須坂市旧上高井郡役所を須坂のお散歩コースに加えてみてはいかがでしょうか～！


Hi it's Sayaka.
There is a baroque building which is built during the Taisho period (about one hundred years ago) about 2 min walk from Guest House KURA.
It's very cool inside even a hot day and you can see many kind of film posters and film tickets on display.

Il y a un bâtiment qui est construit pendant la période de Taisho (environ il y a cent ans), ça prend 2 minutes à pied pour y aller de Guest House KURA.
Il fait frais intérieur même s'il fait chaud dehors et on expose plein de genre de affiche de film et ticket de film.
